An update on calamity days and remote learning (Jan. 23, 2026)

As of today, Jan. 23, 2026, the Troy City Schools have used four calamity days.
(Note: Due to a water main leak, Forest Elementary School has used five calamity days).
With severe inclement weather in the forecast, we wanted to update our families on our plans for the possibility of remote learning should we reach six or more calamity days.
With the exception of Forest, all of our buildings have one remaining traditional calamity day before we go to remote learning for all subsequent calamity days. (Forest will begin remote learning days on the next calamity day).
You should have already received, or soon will be receiving, detailed information from your child’s school regarding what remote learning will look like for your student.
If you have further questions regarding these plans, or if you have not yet received this information, we would encourage you to contact your student’s school.
We thank you for your understanding and hope all of you stay safe for the remainder of this winter!
Thank you, and go Trojans!
