End of Year Procedures for Van Cleve 6th grade (student material drop off / pick up)

VAN CLEVE STUDENT MATERIAL DROP OFF / PICK UP GUIDELINES

 

Student Material Drop-Off/Pick-Up - 

Van Cleve will be holding a student drop-off/pick-up day for you to bring back all school materials that need to be turned in.  Only a  parent or a family member whose student  has school-issued materials that must be returned or personal items that must be picked up should report to the school during their designated times.  This is limited to one adult per student and students are not permitted at all.  

Because Van Cleve students proceed to Troy Junior High School next year, it is necessary to drop off and pick up all items. 

**Per state guidelines, it is recommended for all persons to wear facial masks while in public places.

**Per state mandate, social distancing guidelines must be followed: 

  • A limited number of  parents will be allowed in the building at a time

  • All persons must maintain a distance of 6 feet or more from one another

  • Designated entry and exit points will be used to ensure social distancing

  • No loitering or gathering in hallways or on school grounds. 

 

WHO: One Parent or Guardian  Only (no students)

WHAT: School materials drop-off (Textbooks, Chromebooks, Calculators, School Musical Instruments, Library Books, Classroom novels, etc.) and pickup of personal items including student medications, pre-ordered school yearbooks and Spring pictures. (Yearbooks, if they were requested and not paid for in advance, are $15.  Payment with check made out to Troy City Schools or exact change are required for receipt of a yearbook)

WHERE: Van Cleve Gym and Foyer entrance (Door 11 on the West side of the building near the soccer field; please use the southernmost door (the ramp door) for entry)

WHEN:  See dates & times below to ensure proper social distancing guidelines

Groups of students (by alpha) each day: 

  • FLYERS TEAM = TUESDAY, May 26

  • JETS TEAM = WEDNESDAY, May 27

  • ROCKETS TEAM = THURSDAY, May 28

 Last Names: 

  • A-K (walk-ins - no appointment needed) = 8:00am - 11:00am

  • L-Z (walk-ins - no appointment needed) = 11:00am - 2:00pm

  • By Appointment Only = 7:00am - 8:00am

  • By Appointment Only = 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Appointments are first come first served and can be made by calling (937)332-6780 or emailing  Mr. Siefring at siefring-m@troy.k12.oh.us and leaving a message with specific details including date and time requested.   (appointments should be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to desired time to ensure availability and social distancing)

IMPORTANT:  

  1. Only parents/guardians who have school-issued materials that must be returned or personal items that must be picked up should report to the school during their designated times. 

  2. Only parents/guardians who must pick up students’ personal items will be allowed access to gymnasium.  Access to remainder of the building will not be permitted

  3. One parent/guardian will be permitted into the building.  No students or families. 

  4. If you do not have anything to drop off or pick up, please do not come to the school at this time.
