NOTE! This is an EXPIRED article.

As of Tuesday, March 5th, we’ve had 8 calamity days this school year. We are still well above the state minimum requirements for hours of instruction at all grade levels. We understand that many families have travel plans over spring break and early summer.

We do not wish to ask families to adjust their plans so at this point, we will NOT be requiring students to make up missed days of instruction. Instead, teachers will be engaged in professional development to improve instructional strategies and learning outcomes for our students.

We are hoping that better weather comes quickly so we can finish the school year out as planned. If we get beyond 10 calamity days we will need to make them up by adding days of instruction to the end of the school year. If that happens we will notify parents immediately.

As always, feel free to contact our central office with questions by calling 937-332-6700. You can also e-mail me at
