TROY – A group of talented young artists in the Troy City Schools will have their artwork displayed in Columbus this spring as part of two separate exhibitions.

Troy Junior High School students Victoria Imhof (8th grade), Bill Lucas (7th grade) and Aiyah Sedeno (8th grade) were chosen as honored artists for the 45th Annual Youth Art Month and Young People’s Art Exhibition sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA). There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA, and this year’s show includes 125 student artworks from all over the state.

Their artwork will be displayed at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, and they will be honored at a March 1 ceremony.

Six more students: Joshua Colvin (Troy High School junior), Zatori Crawford (TJHS 8th grade), Mia Hardee (TJHS 8th grade), Momoka Matsuo (TJHS 7th grade), Chloe McBride (Troy High School sophomore) and Concord Elementary School’s Scarlet Youngerman (3rd grade) have had their artwork selected for the 2025 Statehouse Student Exhibition.

As part of a month-long celebration of the arts and arts education, the Ohio Art Education Association joined with the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education and the Ohio Arts Council to mount a student exhibition to recognize the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school.

The exhibition will open March 29 at the Ohio Statehouse and Riffe Center Gallery.
