RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing and managing fiscal activities, including investment and debt management.
 
Budgeting service activities are concerned with supervising budget planning, formulation, control and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial accounting is responsible for maintaining records of the financial operations and transactions of the school system. Activities included are accounting and interpreting financial transactions and related records.

Auditing service activities are concerned with verifying the accounting records. It includes evaluation the adequacy of the internal control system, verifying and safeguarding assets, reviewing the reliability of the accounting and reporting systems, and ascertaining compliance with statutes, established policies and procedures.

Property accounting service activities deal with preparing and maintaining current inventory records of land, buildings, and equipment. These records are to be used in equipment control and facilities planning, maintenance and disposition.

Grants management includes responsibility for maintaining records of the financial operations and transactions for local, state and federal grants. Activities included are accounting and interpreting financial transactions and related records.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving and disbursing funds is responsible for taking in money and paying it out. It includes cashiers that collect and deposit monies, the current audit of receipts, the pre-audit of requisitions or purchase orders to determine whether the amounts are within the budgetary allowances, and to determine that such disbursements are lawful expenditures of the school and district.
