The following information is an update for how Troy City Schools will be handling food service for students in need following Governor DeWine’s “stay at home” order.
Starting Monday, March 30th, we will be providing food once per week on Mondays from 11:30 - 12:30. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no food service Monday, April 6th as the district is closed for spring break. If we do not return to school following spring break, food service will resume on Mondays beginning April 13th.
Students will receive enough food for breakfast and lunch for five days. The following locations will provide this service, based on their location and ability to handle car traffic:
- Troy High School
- Cookson Elementary
- Kyle Elementary
- Heywood Elementary
- Hook Elementary
- Van Cleve 6th Grade Building
We ask that families stay in their cars as we will deliver curbside. This will help encourage social distancing and will allow the process to occur more quickly. Please do your part by being courteous to other drivers and following traffic directions. We will hand food out to any families who walk up but we encourage you to maintain a safe social distance of at least six feet when doing so.
We will ask families to provide the names of students who are not with them so we can seek reimbursement for the meals from the Ohio Department of Education.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to adapt to these challenging and changing circumstances.
