The Troy City Schools take the health and safety of our students very seriously. Administrators from the district recently met with officials from the Miami County Public Health Department regarding the novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). We are working in close partnership with the Miami County Public Health Department in monitoring this situation.
Currently, there have been NO confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Miami County or the state of Ohio. Therefore, we are urging all of our students, staff members and their families to make sure they are taking preventative measures against novel Coronavirus Disease.
These measures include:
Wash hands frequently - at least twice daily has been shown to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. If you do not have access to hand washing stations, use hand sanitizer as a back-up option.
Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze using your ELBOW.
Don’t touch your mouth or eyes with your hands.
Stay home if you are sick and don’t return to work or school until you are fever free for 24 hours without medication.
See the doctor for flu-like symptoms.
We will continue to work closely with local healthcare officials in monitoring this situation and take all the precautions possible to keep our buildings, students and staff safe and healthy.
