Apply online at or text JOBS2020 to 313131

The training and work may be delayed but the hiring is taking place now. Those interested are encouraged to apply now so that they may be considered.  Waiting could cause them to miss this opportunity. Some jobs won’t start until July. Work could go through October.

The U.s. Census Bureau currently is paying $17 per hour and 58 cents per mile in Miami County. Veterans get preference. No degree or resume is required. Applications are done online. Hours are flexible, so this could help those with part time jobs, student schedules, retirees or those who have lost their daycare.

If anyone interested in applying receives SNAP or qualifies for HUD or other subsidies of this type, the State of Ohio has agreed to waive wage restrictions. Any wages earned through employment with the U.S. Census will not affect their status.

The safety of the staff and public is of utmost importance so training will include how to interact safely with the public. The 2020 Census follows all federal, state and local guidelines.

The U.S. Census is very important to the community. The distribution of federal funds is based on population. This could affect programs such as Head Start, WIC, SNAP, subsidized housing and school lunch programs.
