How to obtain an absentee ballot

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no in-person voting for the Ohio primary.

The state has extended absentee voting to April 27. Included on the ballot is Troy City Schools bond issue. Should the bond issue pass, it would fund four new elementary schools for the district.

Each Ohioan registered to vote must request an absentee ballot from their county board of elections and then return the completed ballot to the same address. The ballot must be postmarked by April 27, according to the Ohio Secretary of State.

  • Once the absentee ballot request form is completed, mail it to:

Miami County Board of Elections

215 W. Main St.

Troy, OH 45373

  • A voter will then receive their ballot in the mail. Each ballot must be filled out and returned to the board of elections in a provided postage-paid envelope, postmarked by April 27.
