EXCELLENT WITH DISTINCTION FOR THE FIRST TIME!!
Troy City Schools achieved the State’s top ranking – “EXCELLENT WITH DISTINCTION” for the first year since the ODE introduced the rating system. The district earned 26 out of 26 indicators with a 102.3 performance index. In fact, only 86 school districts in Ohio, out of 609, were rated “Excellent with Distinction”. “We continued to work hard and it’s paid off, “said Troy City Schools’ Superintendent, Eric Herman.
Herman said the staff and administration worked hard to achieve higher marks, with Concord Elementary and Troy Junior High also being named “EXCELLENT WITH DISTINCTION”. Forest Elementary, Kyle Elementary, Van Cleve Sixth Grade, and Troy High School scored “EXCELLENT” ratings. Cookson, Hook, and Heywood earned “EFFECTIVE” ranks for the 2010 – 2011 report card.
“It’s really fantastic and we are very proud of our students, teachers, parents, and community,” stated Eric Herman, Superintendent. “Teachers and staff will take a look at the data at the beginning of the year and will immediately begin preparation for the 2011 – 12 school year,” Herman said.
