Into the Woods
2016 THS Musical
March 18-20, 2016

With music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Into the woods explores the Grimm version of several fairy tales; Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and Rapunzel.  The stories become intertwined when a young couple, the Baker and his wife, are visited by a witch.  The witch tells them that the reason they have not been able to have a child is because she has placed a curse on their house after the Baker’s father had stolen the magic beans from her garden.  If the Baker and his wife hope to have a child they have to get the witch the ingredients to a potion to reverse the curse.  They must find 1. The cow as white as milk(Jack and the Beanstalk),  2.  The cape as red as blood (Little Red Riding Hood),  3.  The hair as yellow as corn (Rapunzel), and 4. The slipper as pure as gold (Cinderella).  The baker and his wife venture into the woods to find all of these items and find themselves interacting with and intertwining these famous fairy tales.  Make sure you come and see the show March 18, 19 and 20th!  Read More about this production...
