Troy Board of Education Seeks New Member

Due to professional obligations, Mr. William Overla has tendered his letter of resignation from the Troy City Schools Board of Education effective June 11, 2018.

Ohio Revised Code provides a Board of Education thirty days to fill such a vacancy.  The Board will appoint a new member to the Board prior to the July 9 regularly scheduled Board meeting.

The appointed members term will run from the time of appointment until the end of 2019.  If the appointment member would choose to continue service on the Board, he/she would have to run for election during the November election of 2019.

The Troy Board is requesting that any citizen interested in being considered for appointment to the Board of Education, contact the Board Office at 332-6700.  Interested parties should send a letter expressing interest and a short narrative why they would like to be a member of the Board.  The deadline to apply is June 22nd.

Please submit your letter of interest to Kim Heintz at the Board of Education Office located at 500 N. Market Street.  The Board will consider all letters and narratives, and choose those individuals that they would like to interview for the position.
